Sharing more then toys!

Jack's cousin Avery came to Massachusetts last week. Unfortuanlty, she kept a very busy schedule and the kids were only able to see each other for a few minutes. After they made certain that all the germs that they each had were suffectienly swapped thanks to Avery and Jack's sharing of the plastic grapes, Avery showed Jack how to ride her new bike. Jack had fun, but Avery wasn't sure how to ride with someone else on the seat behind her.

Memorial Weekend

Memorial weekend was very nice, albeit, very busy!

We drove to Syracuse Friday evening. Saturday morning, Daddy brought Jack to see Grandpa Mike and Gramma Mo, while Mom and Gramma Kathleen went to get their hair cut. That afternoon, Mom and Dad went to Nora and Rene's wedding. Gramma Kathleen and Grampa Will took Jack up to the St. Lawerence River (a.k.a. The 1000 Islands) to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Rick's summer house for the weekend. We called up to the River a few times to check in and see how Jack was doing. We were told that he was having a great time and didn't miss us a bit! We finally joined them Sunday evening after we attended a party to celebrate Jack's Godmother's graduation from Syracuse Law School MAGNA cum laude!!! Awesome job Courtney! We are so proud of you!

Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Jack crawling in the yard outside Nancy's house.

Sunday we went for a boat ride. Jack loved the water.

And driving the baot with Uncle Rick.

He took a quick break to pose for a picture with Mommy.

F-L-O-R-I-D-A

This past weekend we flew down to Sarasota to visit Jack's great-grandma Meema. This was Jack's first trip on an airplane and, boy, was he excited! When we first sat down in our seats, Heather, our flight attendant, came by and scooped Jack out of Mike's arms and told us to "get ourselves settled in and then she would give him back." This woman that we have never seen before then proceeded to carry Jack up and down the ailse instructing all the other passengers on how to stow their carry-on and if they were comfortable opening the door in the case of an emergency. We were laughing so hard! What a shmooze he was!

Once we got up in the air Jack loved looking over all the little cars and buildings of Boston until we could not see them any more!

The first leg of the flight was great! Jack feel asleep drinking his bottle during take-off and slept for the whole 1 hour flight. We all thought that this would be great timing and the next flight would be the same... Boy, were we wrong! Jack was wide awake and squirmy the entire flight. Not that he was cranky, he just didn't want to relax! He went back and forth and back and forth between Mike and I. Finally, at the end of the 2 1/2 hour flight he crashed just as the wheels of the plane hit the runway! Of course!!

We landed in Sarasota around noon and it was HOT! Jack maybe it was the fact that he was just woken up, or maybe it was the heat...

We had lunch with Meema and then we headed down to the beach to meet up with Liz and her friend Jenna. Jack wasnt too sure about the sand and it actually took him a minute or two to try to eat it! I figured that it would go right into the mouth!

Once he realized that he liked to eat the sand (he is a boy after all!) we decided to avoid it and headed for the Gulf.

The water was so warm! And that lead us to a nap!

When we woke up, Jack decided that he wanted to try the pool! He took right to the water and even started kicking his feet!

Before we knew it he was treading water on his own! What an amazing son we have! The next Michael Phelps!
Just kidding, Liz was holding him up!

After the pool Jack played around in some of the new clothes that Grandma Phyllis and Meema had gotten him! Thanks Phyllis, Meema, and Judy!

Saturday morning, Aunt Judy and Uncle Dick took us to the farmer's market in downtown Sarasota. Beforehand we stopped at Pastry Arts and had some yummy pastries for breakfast. Jack loved helping daddy eat his croissant.

Jack loved spending time with Meema almost as much as Meema loved spending time with him!

Later that afternoon, Jack got a major case of the giggles playing with Daddy!

And for more goofy laughs, we put him in Jenna's sun hat. Note that we had to change Jack's outfit once every two hours so that he could wear all of the nice closthed that he got for Florida!

Sunday, Mother's Day, we celebrated by going parasailing. Jack preferred to stay in the boat while Mommy and Daddy when up. He slept, again...

Mike and Nicole 1200 feet in the air overlooking Siesta Key!

Liz, Jon and Jenna going up, up, up. Double click on the picture to see their faces... Priceless!

Sunday evening we ate dinner on the beach with the whole gang! The sunset was just like every sun set that Meema gets to see out her balcony every night... Beautiful!!! How blessed!

Once again, Jack --er daddy- got the giggles running around on the beach.

Mommy and Jack playing.

On the way home, Jack decided that he wanted to go under the plane and decided to be checked baggage with his car seat. No, really, he put the bar code sticker on his own head! Maybe it was too much sun!
Meema, we had a wonderful time with you and thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! We love you and look forward to seeing you home soon! XOXO.

Beat the Heat with the Blues

Oh Goodness, it was so hot yesterday. 92°F!!!

Jack had frozen crushed blueberries and frozen peas for dinner. He loved it!
He had so much fun and knew that this was a funny thing to do. He laughed so hard when he saw me. It was too cute!
There were blueberries everywhere! All over his face, arms, belly...

Even on his BACK!!!

What fun it is to be a kid!

Don't worry, no Jacks were harmed in the making of this video. Only residual staining remained, but that went away after his second bath.

Avery Joyce

Jack's cousin Avery Joyce came to visit this past weekend. They had a lot of fun together. Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

Easter Weekend!!!

We had a great Easter weekend in Syracuse! We got to visit lots of people including the Easter Bunny!
Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the weekend.
Jack absolutely loves remote controls (such a guy!), but Mom and Dad try not to give him the remotes since he has already shorted out a toy remote that we got for him. Grandma Katheen had an old VCR remote that Jack absolutely loved! We took it with us to visit the Easter Bunny at the Mall.
Here is mom and Jack waiting in line for the Easter Bunny. Everyone who passed us at the mall had to comment on how cute he looked in his Easter outfit.
( I still need to get the Easter Bunny picture put on the blog).
After the Easter bunny we went to a few kids stores, one had a kitchen that Jack could play with. He has so much fun showing us how we washes dishes!
After the we went to the Mall, we went to visit Jack's godmother Courtney. She gave Jack an Easter Basket that included serveral nice little gifts including these great sunglasses. They velcro in the back so Jack couldn't take them off within 2 seconds.
After dinner we had strawberry shortcake for dessert. Courtney shared some of her strawberries and homemade whipped cream with Jack. He absolutely LOVED the whipped cream! I'm not sure that Courtney actually got to eat much of her dessert.

Sunday, before we went to church we took a picture with the Argyle Boys!

Grandma Kathleen hosted a wonderful brunch at her house and we enjoyed the company of Aunt Debbie and Cousin Elaine as well as Great Grandma Peg and Uncle Rick.

A nice picture of Mom, Jack and Uncle Adam

Later that day Jack, Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Adam went to visit Grampa Mike at Mom's cousins house. All of the grand-babies were there and we were able to get them together for a few pictures. Jack ended up taking over the show.
Pictures is Delylah (4 mos), Big Jack (17 mos) and Little Jack (7 mos).

Later on the "Pair of Jacks" played with some toys!
All in all we had a GREAT weekend!
