Syracuse Bound

This past weekend we travelled to Syracuse for a quick, if not fun-filled, visit to see Jack's 'Cuse relatives.

Saturday morning we went to the Beaver Lake Harvest Festival. While there we sampled some FRESH Cider Donuts, pet some horses and goats and watched performers.

At first Jack was pretty interested in the goat getting his hoof clipped, but then realized that there was food in the bucket. Luckily the goat didn't mind sharing... just kidding.

We all watched an awesome street performer named Wacky Chad. He was a master pogo-sticker and unicycler. He was really cool and Jack was mesmorized watching him do all his tricks.

Jack also had soft serve ice cream. He loved it and didn't want the cone to leave his sight!

We went with some friends, Megan and William.

Jack had a blast! Thanks guys!

On Sunday, we spent the day with Grandpa Mike at "camp". Or as Jack's daddy calls it, Pleasant Puddle.
Aunt Jeanne is building a new camp after a fire last year destroyed the "Red Camp". Jack decided that the contractors were taking too long, so he decided that he wanted to help them out.

Before you know it he was done! Those contractors should learn a thing or two from Jack!
Nice Job!

Oh, and Daddy had fun petting the dogs. Derby, a lap dog? No WAY!

Thank you Cousin David!

A few days ago, we were very surprised to see a large box outside our garage door when we got home. Inside was a beautiful white rocking horse! Thank you so much David for the wonderful gift! Jack Loves It!

Ride 'em Cowboy! Yee Ha!

All smiles!

Jack's Bag of Tricks

Jack has recently become "trainable". In other words, you can teach him to do silly things that are very entertaining... :o)

If you ask Jack "How big are you?" he raises his arms high above his head.

If you ask Jack "How old are you?" he points his index finger at you. One.

If you put your hand in front of you mouth and make Indian noises, he will do the same.

But the best in Jack's current Bag of Tricks is "Dance". No matter if there is music or not, the boy will bee bop up and down.

A true white boy dance! No rhythm at all. He is surely his mother's child!

Birthday Weekend

Jack's actual birthday, August 21st, was spent with a fun filled day down at the lake. Although it was a little cloudy, we had a lot of fun.

Jack had a lot of fun with his uncle which included being swung around.

On the 22nd, the Lake hosted is Bi-Annual Water Sports Tournement.
Jack got his first of MANY SCRA T-Shirts. Great diesing this year, but it is on the back of the shirt. Oh well, it is a cute family shot anyways.
Looks like Jack needs a hair cut...

A Special thanks goes out to Jack's grandmothers! Grandma Kathleen made and pulled all of the Pulled Pork that was D-Licious. Grandma Phyllis built the most amazing sailboat cake ever! Thank you to both of you for your time, dedication and love of all things "Jack"! We love you!

Thank you to Godmother Heather for helping with the decorations! Very festive!

GiGgLeS!!!

Press Pause on the Music Player in the top Right of the screen for this one and turn up your volume.

Sunday Jack and Grampa Gary were playing with a tennis ball. Grampa was tossing the ball up the stairs and they were watching it bounce down. Jack thought that this was one of the funniest things EVER! The first video gives you the full show, the second video is a close-up so you can really see his face! So precious!

Summer Weekends

This weekend we were invited to a Old Fashioned New England Clambake.

Jack watched in wonder as the Men worked hard to get the fire ready for the Lobsters!

The food is under there somewhere!

Ready to eat!

We ate Clam Chowder, Mussels and Steamers, Lobster, Baked Potatoes, and Corn on the Cob!
Jack ate a bit of everything and especially LOVED the lobster!

Thank you so much for a wonderful day Shirley and Dave!
-Love Jack!

That night we spent the night at the camp with Gramma and Grampa Orrell and woke up to a BEAUTIFUL morning. Mike and Molly went for a Kayak ride.

And Jack wore his new "Life-Deserver" from Gramma Phyllis.

He and Daddy went Tubing behind the party boat.

Until Jack fell asleep to the lull of the water!

After being rejuvenated from his nap, he wanted to try more water sports. He wanted to go Jet Skiing, but mommy said no and found a better alternative!

Then it was enough with the water sports, so he played some badmitten.

Oh! And did we mention he started WALKING THIS WEEK!!!!

The Boston Aquarium

So we are a little behind on the Blogging. A few weeks ago, Jack's Godmother Courtney came up from Syracuse to take Jack into Boston and to go to the Aquaruim for the first time!

We went to Quincy Market for Lunch and met up with Courtney's Law Schhol friend Jeff. We walked around the shops and had some fun with Jack.
After all the fun, we walked over to the Aquarium where we met up with another Law School buddy, Jonathan.
Jack enjoyed the Penguins.
and the fish!!! He was in awe of the fish and coral and everything that he saw.
There was a big Shark in the center tank that kept following Jack.
This fish was bigger than Jack!!!
Phew! What a fun day! Jack fell asleep in the stroller with his Octopus puppet that Courtney got him while we were walking over to the North End to get some pastries at Mike's Pastries.

It was way too crowded in the pastry shop for the three of us and a stroller so we decided to use the stroller as a table and ate the yummy tiramisu, ricotta pie and canolli over Jacks head. He didn't mind, but we got alot of funny looks!
Thanks for such a nice memory Courtney!
